Return & Exchange Policy

Free The Fish is a small, independent shop founded and run by a marine biology teacher. Here's how returns and exchanges work for your order.

All Sales Are Final

We don't accept returns for a change of mind, so please check our sizing info before ordering. The exceptions below cover the situations that matter most.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email zac@freethefishmerchandise.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. You'll be able to choose a free replacement or a full refund, and we'll cover return shipping if one is needed.

Size Exchanges

Ordered the wrong size? We offer one exchange for a different size within 14 days of delivery, as long as the item is unworn, unwashed, and still has its original tags. Email zac@freethefishmerchandise.com with your order number to get started. You're responsible for shipping the original item back to us; we'll cover shipping your new size out to you.

How to Start a Return or Exchange

Email zac@freethefishmerchandise.com with your order number, the reason for your request, and a photo if the item arrived damaged, defective, or incorrect. We'll reply within 2 business days with next steps.

Refunds

Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days of us receiving your returned item, back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank, it may take an extra 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
